To create high-quality, attainable housing for the University of Washington’s student population (over 45,000 students) and Seattle’s growing workforce, Gracorp is planning two midrise rental apartment buildings in the lively University District neighbourhood of Seattle.

The University District, or “UDistrict”, is a “city within a city” offering an eclectic mix of urban shopping areas, historic homes and architecture. The youthful, relaxed neighbourhood is a great place to window-shop or people-watch, with excellent dining and shopping options. The variety of cafes, pubs, restaurants, and theatres add to the vibrancy of the UDistrict. The college neighbourhood is centered on University Way, also known as “The Ave”. This popular gathering place boasts small eateries and funky shops.

The new University District rental apartments will include approximately 160 studio and one-bedroom apartments ranging in size from 250 to 365 sq. ft., meticulously crafted to fit local lifestyles. Micro commercial retail units on the ground floor retail levels will complement The Ave’s dynamic character while incubating startups and small neighbourhood businesses.
