Gracorp began as a small group of real estate professionals with an unparalleled ability to create lasting partnerships to develop exceptional projects. We have grown our team and our expertise and are proud to be developing an expanding portfolio of high-quality residential, office, industrial and retail projects. Our Leadership


Bruce has over 25 years of experience in real estate development, corporate finance, large transaction management, investment management, and operations. Bruce is the Vice President of investments for Graham and is responsible for Gracorp’s real estate development and asset management portfolio. Before joining Gracorp in 2014, Bruce was an executive with a Canadian gaming and hospitality company. Bruce also has experience in investment banking with a Canadian bank and in finance and accounting with an international accounting firm.

Based in Vancouver, Jake McEwan lead’s Gracorp’s real estate development activities in British Columbia where he is responsible for sourcing, structuring, financing, developing and marketing projects across various asset classes.

Jake is an accomplished real estate executive, with over 16 years of experience in both  government and the private sector.  Prior to joining Gracorp, Jake was the CEO of Keltic Development, where he lead the company to become the second largest developer in British Columbia by total sales volume during 2018 & 2019. He also secured over $600M in debt financing from Tier 1 lenders and lead a development program worth over $1.3 billion.  Prior to Keltic, Jake held several high profile positions including being the founding President & CFO of Aquilini America Group, a real estate development & construction company based in Los Angeles. Jake was also previously the SVP of Aquilini Development and Construction, where he lead  the development of over 20 projects and 15M SF of development across B.C. Jake also worked in senior capacities at Concord Pacific & Intracorp Projects. At Intracorp Jake lead the development of the MC2 & Metroplace projects, both winners of major design awards.

Jake is an Action Canada Fellow and a former senior advisor in the Gordon Campbell B.C government. Jake has a BA from the University of Victoria and is a former Red Mountain Ski Racer from Rossland B.C.  Jake’s spends his off time mainly with his 200lb Great Dane and his wonderful wife and daughter.

Joe is based in Seattle and has over 15 years of experience in the real estate industry. He leads Gracorp’s real estate development activities in the northwest region of the United States where he is responsible for deal structuring, acquisitions, developments, financing and fund management.

Prior to joining Gracorp in 2018, Joe worked as an Acquisition Manager at Columbia Pacific Advisors, a Seattle based alternative asset manager with over $1 billion in real estate AUM. He has also held positions as a Portfolio Manager with Bank of America’s Commercial Real Estate Banking group where he underwrote, restructured and managed over $600 million in credit lending facilities and as an Equity Sales Associate at GE Capital Real Estate. Joe has extensive acquisition, contract negotiation and fund management experience through his involvement in the development, repositioning and management of numerous multi-family, senior housing, industrial, self-storage, hospitality and office properties throughout the United States.

Joe earned his degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Western Washington University and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).

Based in Calgary, Novy leads Gracorp’s real estate development activities in Alberta and the Prairies where he is responsible for sourcing, structuring, financing and developing projects across various asset classes.

Novy has over 10 years of experience in real estate development, corporate financing, corporate structuring and real estate law. Prior to joining Gracorp, Novy practiced commercial real estate law at an international law firm and worked as in-house legal counsel for a Calgary based developer with asset located thorough Western Canada and the southern US. Novy has extensive experience in real estate acquisitions, contract negotiation, debt and equity financing, corporate structuring and dispositions. Novy has played an integral role in the successful acquisition, financing and disposition of projects valued in excess of $1.0B, including high-rise office, high and mid-rise residential, mixed-use buildings and industrial warehouses.

Novy earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with an emphasis in finance from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Alberta. Outside of work, Novy enjoys playing and coaching hockey and spending time outdoors with his wife and his two boys.

Derek’s background is in Corporate Banking, where he spent 10 years working with a leading Canadian Financial Institution lending to a diverse industry base. Prior to joining Gracorp, Derek managed a portfolio worth over $2 billion. Industries included hospitality, real estate development, agriculture, municipalities, and insurance providers.  With a mandate to seek new lending and deposit opportunities, Derek and his team attracted over $750 million in new business over a four-year period.​

Derek was born and raised in Vancouver and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA from Queen’s University in Kingston. Derek and his wife reside in North Vancouver, where he enjoys mountain biking, hiking and anything outdoors.
